Caronia Solvent
So, I was strolling in SM Department Store and found a rack of nail polishes and nail care stuffs. I wasn't really planning of buying any of nail products because I didn't bring enough money with me but, I still did. Oh, the struggle!
I was looking for nail thinner for quite a long time because some of my polishes became sticky and thick. I threw some of it months ago and there were only two of them left. I saw this Caronia Solvent which I always see but never bought. I got curious and read the bottle.
This is what the bottle looks like. It costs like Php 57.00 (It has cents with it but I can't recall how much). Also, I saw a bottle of Bobbie which is also a solvent. It looks more expensive than Caronia. I tried scanning it on the scanner near me but the item was not found. I ended up buying Caronia's.
It says it thins and dissolves nail enamels, so I just realized it was actually a thinner. I was ignoring it but it is actually what I need. Silly me.
It was only when I finally arrived home when I remembered looking at the ingredients. Sadly though, it has Toulene! It is the chemical that was said to cause cancer. I still tried it though.
And I must say, it actually worked well.
This is what my Chic Neon Pink polish became after I put few drops of Caronia Solvent. I wasn't able to take a picture of this polish before but it was extremely gooey and sticky and really hard to apply on my nails.
This is my Shade Shifting Nail Polish which I discussed in my previous post. It used to be just the same as my Chic. You can see how it looks like back then on this link. http://itsagirlgirlthing.blogspot.com/2015/12/shade-shifting-nail-polish.html
PROS
-It is affordable.
-It is available almost everywhere just like Caronia polishes. In Watsons or Department Stores or any places where Caronia polishes are available.
-It does the job well!
CONS
-It has Toulene.
-It has a strong chemical scent, just like paint thinner. Thus, making the polish smell like it, too.
-You will need a medicine dropper to use it. If you use the bottle's mouth, you might pour more solvent than you need which will make your polish runny.
This is not sponsored. This is purchased by me.
