Kojie San Cleanser + Toner (Dual Action) Review

IT'S REVIEW TIME!

It's been a while since my last post, but here I am with a bunch of reviews for y'all.

For the first time, I actually wanted to try toner. So when I saw this Kojie San Cleanser + Toner in Watsons, I immediately picked it up.

Little did I know, this will start one of the my worst nightmares.

What does a toner do?

If you have already used Eskinol Facial Cleanser or stuffs like that, toner works just the same way. It cleanses the deep-seated dirt from your face which your facial wash failed to remove. It also helps you shrink your pores so it wouldn't be visible.

Another thing is that it balances your skin's pH. Our skin is naturally acidic. Whenever we wash our face with our beauty soap or foaming wash, which naturally alkaline, it disturbs the acidity of our skin. In order for us to restore or balance our pH again, we need to use toners.

I bought this for only Php 79.00.

It says in the back that it has natural ingredients that helps cleanse, moisturize and revive tired skin. It helps get ride of excess oil, prevents wrinkles, reduces blemishes and helps repair damaged skin.

After using it, I actually felt moisturized, just like what it claimed.

Until bad things happened...

Since it says that it is moisturizing, I skipped moisturizer and just let it alone on my face. After a week, I started to get pimples on my forehead, which was really surprising because I rarely, like really rare, get pimples. And I only get like one or two then it disappears after three days or so.

I overlooked the pimples and continued using it without moisturizer. My mother told me that maybe the product was irritating my face. But I really liked the product and wanted to give benefit of the doubt so I still kept using it. Hard-headed me. But now, with moisturizer.

And it didn't help.

Don't scroll down if you get grossed out easily.

This what my forehead looked like after using it for a week or so without moisturizer.

I was really devastated by the result. I stopped using it, but my pimples kept coming even though I already came back to Eskinol Pimple Fighting facial cleanser. I had never experienced this massive breakout like ever!

It has been two months now but I never got my clear forehead back. It was saddening, indeed. I think even though it is moisturizing, it could still be drying to my face. It got even worse.

Not that I am saying that you should not try this because of what happened to me. It might work for you, since I think it worked for others. Maybe it is just my mistake that I actually became chill with the "moisturizes" claim and I skipped the moisturizing part of my routine.

Anyway, here's my review breakdown.

Pros
-It feels good on the skin after use.
-It is accessible. It can be found in Watsons, any drugstores or department stores nationwide.
-cheap

Cons
-can be drying
-brought me the worst breakout in my life

Will I buy it again? Hell, no. I still have to cure my pimples until now. It can be my mistake or the product's mistake, but either way, I am not going to buy it again.

Thank you for dropping by!

xoxo
